Out In Our Community

Education Outreach
What an opportunity to interact
with our birds and have fun while
learning!
The heart of Greyhaven revolves
around our mission of education. We
offer 1 hour presentations conveying
a message of learning through caring
and understanding to various groups.
Through demonstrations and hands on
activities, participants learn to
gently handle a bird, learn about
the bird's needs and the
similarities and differences between
humans and exotic birds.
Some of our presentation
highlights are:
-Meeting Exotic Birds and
learning about the origin of
each specie, their dietary
requirements and fun facts
-Participating in an
interactive discussion on birds
-Touching, seeing, and
hearing our interactive displays
-Viewing X-rays of a bird's
skeletal anatomy through a light
illuminated unit
-Receiving a Passport and
getting your personal Passport
stamped as you visit each
display with some of the birds
that are housed at Greyhaven
-Having your picture taken
with an exotic companion bird as
a memento
-Leaving with a bird sticker
and/or small gift from our flock
along with your newly acquired
knowledge of exotic birds
We request a minimum $50 Donation
for these presentations which goes
directly back to our Education
Outreach Program as well as caring
for the birds at the sanctuary and
in foster homes.
We are available for bookings in
the evenings and on Weekends.
The
program books up quickly, so please
call and book in advance to
guarantee you don't miss out. If you
